Lancashire rapper, choreographer and dancer Blackhaine releases a new song, 'Prayer (feat. Iceboy Violet and Blood Orange)', taken from his upcoming EP Armour 2, out June 10th. Blackhaine has been making a name for himself for his writhing and contorted dance work, notably appearing in videos for Fontaines D.C. and choreographing Kanye West's listening parties. With this upcoming EP. it seems his music is about to blow up in the same way. 'Prayer' sounds as if it is submerged, muted drum beats, a wash of synths and fizzing electronics flicker and spark as Blackhaine spits bars with a sense of urgency and secrecy, like a man spilling his soul, like a prayer.
